Research Areas

  • Human-Machine Cooperation in Citizen Science

My current research focuses on the design of machine-human cooperation to advance collective knowledge for scientific activities and solving social problems. The methods I focus on to bring together people, data and technology include citizen science, crowdsourcing, peer-to-peer exchange and citizen-generated data.

I am also interested in citizen-generated data and how they might actually serve the public good by innovating policy making and the public sector.
